How to combine Search Console and Analytics

Are you surprised to see me here so soon after posting yesterday? Well, I’m super excited because the launch of my course to analyze and understand data with Google Data Studio is working very well (snif, snif, ainnnsss how excited). And there are still two days left to be able to make the purchase enjoying the bonuses (ahem! ahem! self-promotion. Okay… I’ll stop hehe). Well, as happy as I am, I wanted to share with you one of the things that I think are most powerful about the Data Studio tool . And it is the ability to combine multiple data sources into a single chart .

Data source by combining two data sources. Can you imagine comparing the relationship between impressions (search console) and sessions (analytics) in the same graph? But in executive email list order to do that we need certain requirements to be met and the most important requirement is that there is a connection between both data sources. That is, there is a link. For example, if we have users in one data source and opens in another data source, we would have to find a common variable that was the email address that would allow us to add that data, get it? Oh, and they also have to be in the same format. That’s why I decided to share with you this tutorial with a real example on.

How to combine Search

Console and Google Analytics data in the same source. You can find step-by-step instructions in the video , but I’ll summarize them here, okay? Come on! Create a custom field CU Lists in the Google Analytics feed to include the domain, since in Search Console URLs go with a domain and in Analytics they go without a domain. With which we unify the format. Eye! Use the “Landing Page” field from Google Analytics and not the “Page” field since if we want to combine data from Search Console, we will have to use the destination page and not all the content of the website.
